Concept Paper
Project PEARLS: Peace, Education, Aspiration, Respect, Love, and Smile
Introduction
Children suffer the most in countries where poverty is a daily struggle since they are the most vulnerable group in any community. Despite recent economic development in the Philippines, poverty continues to affect millions of families, the majority of whom have young children. This can be seen in the number of children that walk the city streets, scavenge in Manila's Smokey Mountain and other landfills, or are forced to drop out of school early to augment their family's income.
According to the Philippine Child and Youth Welfare Code, "the child is one of the most important assets of the nation," Project PEARLS recognizes the value of every child, regardless of gender, ethnicity, religion, or economic status. Project PEARLS pledges to carry out its purpose for the human rights of Filipino children in poverty who have no voice and are almost invisible in society.
Purpose
Project PEARLS is committed to transforming this way of life.
Peace, Education, Aspiration, Respect, Love, and Smiles are the values that Project PEARLS strives to instill in impoverished youth. To reduce all forms of child poverty by providing education, empowerment, nutrition, nourishment, and healthcare. Giving children the opportunity to study increases their chances of breaking the cycle. The vicious cycle of poverty leads to a better life.
Description
These children, who live in poverty and hazardous circumstances, are particularly vulnerable to neglect and abuse. They are frequently the last to obtain fundamental social amenities like free education and healthcare.
Thus, Project PEARLS strives to provide children with Peace, Education, Aspiration, Respect, Love, and Smiles to ensure that their rights are safeguarded and that they have the opportunity to develop their abilities and potential.
The PEARLS Scholarship program provides educational assistance in the form of school supplies, transportation allowance, food packs, project vouchers, tutorials, and other tools to remove the economic and social hurdles that prevent people from receiving education.
The scholarship program runs in the community of Tondo, Manila, Bocaue, Bulacan, and Zamboanga, Sibugays. LitClubs and other community learning programs are also available to help children and youth improve their literacy, artistic, and social abilities. It aims to assist the future generation in realizing their full potential and developing their leadership qualities as changemakers and community leaders.
Furthermore, The organization launches a feeding program and brain-boosting activities, which feeds at least 300 kids a substantial and nutritious breakfast every day. In addition, on Saturdays, the organization stimulates their creativity and enthusiasm for learning through brain-boosting activities.
Project PEARLS programs have lent a hand to more than 700 children in the Philippines. With the support of compassionate hearts, now children won't have to live and stroll around the smokey mountain and trails. Project PEARLS has changed multiple lives of many Filipinos.
By giving them PEARLS: Peace, Education, Aspiration, Respect, Love, and Smiles, Project PEARLS aspires to enable the poorest of the poor children to have a better life where possibilities and chances are possible while assisting in the eradication of poverty in the Philippines.

With the help of compassionate and kind-hearted people, programs launched by Project PEARLS are made possible. Each day new pairs of hands reach out and lend these to children providing them the future they deserve.
